I am delighted to announce the appointment of Tania Banotti as Chief Executive Officer of IAPI.
Tania will be specifically tasked with increasing our profile within government, members, media and industry partners. We are all acutely aware of the challenges facing our industry.
Tania joins us from Theatre ForumIrelandwhere she held the position of Chief Executive Officer since 2003 and was responsible for transforming the association into the authorative voice for the performing arts community inIreland.
This appointment is a very exciting one for our organisation. The IAPI Board sought someone with outstanding leadership credentials and who can credibly and forcefully represent us. We firmly believe we have found this in Tania.
Tania’s ability to create a common sense of purpose and shared goals amongst diverse stakeholders was a key attribute in her appointment.
Tania is a superb candidate and has also held senior roles at Screen Producers Ireland (SPI) and the National Campaign for the Arts (NCFA), where she still acts as Secretary. She has more than 20 years experience in leadership and management within the arts and culture industry inIrelandand an outstanding track record in stakeholder management, organisational leadership and working with membership organisations.
She will take up her new new post in May, 2012.
I want to congratulate Tania on her appointment, wish her well and guarantee her my full backing.
I would ask all members to give Tania a warm welcome and every support when she starts in May.
Regards
Liam McDonnell.
IAPI President
