25 campaigns shortlisted for ADFX 2012 Awards

25 entries, including the 2010 Grand Prix winners DDFH&B with Bord Gais have been shortlisted for the 2012 ADFX Awards, the advertising industry most rigorous, transparent and prestigious awards. Sponsored by RTE Media Sales, O2 Media Sales, PML Group, and the Irish Times, they reward and showcase campaigns that demonstrate their marketing payback and a proven impact on behavioural attitude.

IAPI introduced joint entries this year. Out of the 25 shortlisted entries, 14 are single entries. The fact that 11 are joint entries shows the value of media and creative agencies working together to deliver impactful case studies with key measurements and analysis.

This year the following categories have nominations;

Leisure, Media & Entertainment
Retail & Fashion
Alcoholic Beverages, sponsored by PML
Public Service, Social Welfare & Education, sponsored by The Irish Times
New Launch, sponsored by RTE Media Sales

The New Launch category will be a highly sought after award with six entries shortlisted. Three of the brands shortlisted have won gold in previous years. The other category which will be highly contended is the best Public Service, Social Welfare and Education category with five entries in the running.

Renowned communications expert Alastair Campbell is out keynote speaker, launching the ADFX shortlist for IAPI on the 12th of September 2012 Alastair said ‘’Whether you are writing a book about your life, fighting for peace in Northern Ireland, constructing a political, economic or any other strategy, your ingenuity and skill in writing and delivering a powerful and compelling story to engage people in your message is critical. The challenges are no different in advertising. IAPI AdFx 2012 seeks to single out and celebrate those brands and businesses who have partnered with agencies to find that story and craft and construct communication ideas that change behaviour or ask people to buy your brand over someone else’s. The world is flooded with communications ideas in every medium possible. cutting through and making an impact is more challenging than ever. The brands we have shortlisted for IAPI AdFx 2012 on November 8th at the Round Room have proven the power of excellent strategy and insight and powerful creativity to deliver bottom line business results’’
